Description

Riptide Terrova is a bow-mount trolling motor from Minn Kota's Riptide saltwater line, with a brushed motor and electric steering. You choose it by thrust and voltage: 55 lb (25 kg) at 12 V (one battery), 80 lb (36 kg) at 24 V (two) or 112 lb (51 kg) at 36 V (three batteries), with a 54, 60 or 72 inch (137, 152 or 183 cm) shaft, and with 112 lb (51 kg) also an 87 inch (221 cm) one.

It is controlled with a wireless remote that has an LCD screen, and an external heading sensor comes with the motor. The GPS system holds the boat in place (Spot-Lock, with Jog moves of about 1.5 m), records routes, holds a heading (AutoPilot) and in Drift Mode controls speed and course while drifting.

A lever on the mount lowers the motor into the water and returns it to the mount. Digital Maximizer draws only as much current from the battery as the chosen speed needs. The lower unit is protected against corrosion by grit-blasting, an aluminium coat and powder coat.
