In short

This site uses no cookies. Fonts, images, short clips and scripts come from the site itself. It counts visits anonymously, with no cookies and no personal data. The forms send nothing and store nothing: your own app sends the message, and only when you send it. YouTube videos are not embedded; the thumbnails are the site’s own, and the link goes to YouTube.

When you open the site

The site is hosted on a server run by the studio Sorich (Ante Sorić, sorich.hr), which processes data for the company as its processor. Like any other server, it records technical data for each visit: the IP address, the time, the address of the requested page and the type of browser. That record serves the security and operation of the site (legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation), not the tracking of visitors. You can object to this processing, and the other rights under “Your rights” apply too.

Counting visits

We count visits anonymously, with Plausible through the site’s own address, with no cookies and no personal data. If that address does not answer, the counter loads directly from the studio’s server (stats.sorichcomp.com). We see how many visits there were, which pages were read, where visitors came from and which links and forms they used, never who was on the site or what they typed.

When you fill in a form

The forms on this site (the enquiry with its list of products, the service request and the electrical installations enquiry) send nothing and store nothing. Your browser composes the message, on your device, and you send it yourself, by the channel you choose: WhatsApp, Viber, email or SMS. Until you send it, nothing has been sent to anyone.

Nothing in the forms is required. You can enter your full name, a phone number and an email address, with the details of the enquiry: the equipment and the boat, the device and the fault, or the building, its location and the work. Please do not enter sensitive data.

When you choose Viber, your browser copies the message to your device’s clipboard and you paste it into the chat.

Once the message arrives, it is used only to answer the enquiry and to arrange the work, and it is passed on to no one. The legal basis is the steps we take at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation).

With the message the recipient also sees what your app shows: the phone number or email address you send it from.

Who else sees the message

You choose the channel, and the service you send it with sees the message too: WhatsApp (Meta), Viber (Rakuten Viber), your email provider or your mobile operator for SMS, and for email also Google, which hosts the recipient’s address. Meta, Rakuten Viber and Google may process data outside the European Union too, under their own rules.

How long it is kept

We keep the messages we receive for 2 years and then delete them. You can ask for your message to be deleted sooner.

What stays on your device

Your browser keeps the enquiry list — the products you add in Minn Kota — on your device (localStorage) until you empty it or clear your browser’s data. The site cannot see it and sends it nowhere.

Your browser also remembers whether you closed the add-to-home-screen card (localStorage), again only on your device. So that the site works offline, the browser also stores its main pages.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and object to the processing: write to elektroinstalacijemarindejan@gmail.com. You can lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP).

Links also lead to other sites, for example YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp, Viber, Novi list and EMODnet. Once you open them, those sites’ rules apply.

Accessibility

You can zoom the site with your fingers or in the browser and move through it with the keyboard. Every short clip has a button that pauses it; if reduced motion is on, the clips do not start by themselves and the bar at the top only follows your position.
