Description

Riptide Instinct QUEST is a bow-mount trolling motor from Minn Kota's Riptide saltwater line, made for larger boats on open water. Its brushless motor runs on 24 V (90 lb (41 kg) of thrust) or 36 V (115 lb (52 kg)). The shaft is 60, 72, 87 or 100 inches (152, 183, 221 or 254 cm) long, and the motor comes in white or black.

The motor deploys into the water and returns to the mount at the push of a button, and its depth (Power Trim) is set the same way: on the wireless remote, in the One-Boat Network app or on a linked Humminbird unit. Nobody has to bend down to the motor at the bow.

The GPS system holds the boat in place (Spot-Lock with Jog), records routes, holds a heading (AutoPilot) and in Drift Mode controls speed and course while drifting. Battery level is shown while the motor runs, and Eco Mode lowers the current draw.

The lower unit is grit-blasted, coated with aluminium and finished in powder coat, and the shaft is composite with carbon fibre. The box also holds a 9.1 m Ethernet cable and an adapter cable for Humminbird HELIX.
