Description

The NMEA 2000 Starter Kit holds the basic parts for an NMEA 2000 network on board: the Single version for one device and the Dual for two. Over NMEA 2000 a Humminbird unit can show data from other devices on the network, for example an engine that sends NMEA 2000 data.

The kit contains a power cable with T-connector (1 m), a male and a female terminator, a T-connector and a 2 m drop cable; the Dual has two drop cables.

The kit is for HELIX G2N, G3N and G4N, every SOLIX and every APEX. A HELIX G4N joins the network through the AS QD NMEA 2000 adapter. The kit is not needed to connect the NMEA 2000 GPS heading sensor directly to a unit. Humminbird units do not send GPS position or heading over NMEA 2000; a VHF radio takes NMEA 0183.
